Explore Miami’s Museums

Miami is a city steeped in culture, and residents of Altis at Kendall Square Apartments are surrounded by a number of museums featuring exhibits and activities to suit just about everyone! Come in out of the heat and explore the art and history of beautiful Miami.

Though the doors of Patricia and Philip Frost Museum of Science closed on August 30th, the museum will continue on in the form of pop up exhibits throughout the city. It will relocate to its new permanent home in 2016. Stay tuned for exciting things to come!

The Miami Children’s Museum is fun for adults too! Bring the kids, or some fun-loving adults, to learn about art, culture and community through play and exploration. Enjoy the museum’s hands on exhibits and create something in the process!

Located in North Miami, the Museum of Contemporary Art offers exhibitions of contemporary artists as well as displays of their own collection. Enjoy live music performances while taking in the art. The museum also offers art programs and camps for kids and teens.

The Wolfsonian-FIU is an affiliate of the Smithsonian featuring paintings, furniture and books as well as other artifacts from the Industrial Revolution through World War II. When you are done exploring, relax in the museum’s café. Another bonus: visitors receive free admission every Friday between 6pm and 9pm.
